"Great things come together when communities come together"

The Green at Prosperity Village is a 1.36 acre site situated at the dead end of Docia Crossing Road and is positioned to serve as a gateway to the Prosperity Village area. The public space was identified in the Prosperity Hucks Area Plan as a park/open space and a greenway connector into the South Core Activity Center.

This parklet  provides a common space for the community to use for passive recreation, education and community events.

The City of Charlotte's initiative to construct 250 place-making projects across the city in 2019 prompted the launch of this project. General Services; Planning, Design & Development Place-making Program; Charlotte Water and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services are all contributing financially to implement the project and its educational components.

This site is not managed by Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation. The city of Charlotte is responsible for landscaping, power and water costs and a programming team of volunteers in the Prosperity Village community look after it.
